can you help make and improve my vacuum mechanism for vex iq 2025-2026. I found it on YouTube by Ben Lipper. i’m trying to build this on YouTube
- The proper term for it is an intake.
- What do you have so far and what exactly do you want to improve about it? (post pictures and/or a video - nobody can give anything better than general tips and suggestions without having a clear picture of the issue)

I want to change the arrangement from diagonal to vertical —should I do that?

I have a vetical vacuum that is like a revolver, but not diagonal. There is also no place to store the stacks, so it stays in the vacuum. ( I have a motor to control the vacuum.) I also am using tires for sucking up the pins. Should I still use tires or change to tank tread with Traction Link and Medium Intake Flap? Also, the vacuum is on a Speed Build 2.0. should I change the base and what to?
Start with the chain and flaps, and if you can’t get a good grip on pins at the start, add wheels.
It will be more difficult to get pins to stack correctly if your conveyor is vertical. I’d recommend diagonal. (Sorry mods for making 2 posts)
