No wait, I get it. But hot pads + vex steel, aluminum, plastic, not to mention the brain and motors… I don’t see this as a win, rather than a way to destroy all parts.
I want to see a game like star struck, but the only way to get pieces over is over the top rather than pushing under. Also more elements, like hex balls (vex iq crossover), balls, cubes, caps (double if they land on your color), or my other idea…
Balloons
With helium
To inflate, pop, and catch.
Did somebody say new product reveal? (anti gravity motors)
Did somebody say drone game?
olive oil game.
not conductive so it won’t damage electronics. friction is really minimal as well. Also you can lick your robot clean with some bread on the side.
So high traction wheels are now omnis?
The future is here
Did somebody say new product reveal? (anti gravity motors)
there are only 2 realistic bots out there
Distilled water game
Water Game… (Don’t tell me you didn’t expect 500 people to say this)
No, I expected more.
That one on the ladder, though… I just can’t consider that twang to be a realistic move.
How about a competition where robots dangling from 10ft high playground monkey bars, and the only way to be qualified is to have the robot made entirely out of steel.
so literally infinite recharge lmao…
Welcome to the world’s best 2 minutes in robotics, the 2020-2021 game, VEX robotics competition, High Hang. High Hang is played on a 12 foot by 12 foot field by 2 alliances, 1 red and 1 blue, made up of 2 teams each. The object of the game is to score more points than the opposing alliance by hanging cylinders on the center fences. Orange Cylinders are worth 1 point, Green Cylinders are worth 2 points and Purple Cylinders are worth 3 Points. But be wary, the weights of the cylinders are different depending on the amount of points it holds. Alliances may also descore opposing alliance’s cylinders but may not score on the opposing alliance’s fences. Of course, there’s more! Near the end of the match, teams can get 4 points for Low Hanging a robot or 8 points for High Hanging a robot. There are a total of 52 cylinders on the field, 4 fences and 2 robot hanging posts in a VEX Robotics Competition: High Hang match. Each robot is available to one Orange Cylinder as a preload prior to the match. 48 cylinders will start at designated locations on the field. Each alliance only has 1 robot hanging post from which only 1 robot can hang. Each match will start with a 15 second autonomous period where robots score without help from their drivers. The alliance that scores more points in the autonomous period will be rewarded 4 points added onto the final score at the end of the match. At the end of driver control after all objects and robots have come to rest, the match will be scored to determine the winning alliance. For detailed rules and game information on VEX Robotics Competition: High Hang, see the official rules at RoboticsEducation.org or VEXrobotics.com. tbh though that wouldnt be a bad game
Toss up sounds fun. If u come up with a mech that holds the heaviest one, then it can probably hold the others. Building a toss up robot with v5 and a flip out TT-esque tray would be enough
I like this idea…
