Vex 22-23 game (wrong answers only)

Now of course we all know that the 22-23 game is Fly By, an aerial game where you shoot down red/blue targets with balls that are 2 mm in diameter. Each target of your colour is worth 10 points, and each opponent’s colour target is worth 3.

What other overcomplicated, unfeasible, and/or stupid ideas for Vex games you have?

Water Game

Summary

Sorry, I had to. I think a shooting game is long overdo though.

Is it unfeasible though? RECF Aerial Drones Competition exists.

You mean this?

Now for the actual game I think would be cool, I think a co-op game would be cool. Separate the two sides of the field and the only interaction that can happen between the two alliances is in the middle with some collaborative scoring effort. Oh, and don’t forget that all the robots need to hang on a 12" wide bar in the end game. Double points if your robot is fully supported by another robot.

Using Vex motors though

But how would it fly? Vex v5 parts are too heavy

overcomplicated, unfeasible, and/or stupid ideas

I guess maybe you could if you had acess to plastic, then you could use that as your body, and with 8Motor drive you might jitter off the ground breifly.

Wait up. You shoot balls into goals, and at the end of the match you hang. You can also earn points by elevating triangular scoring objects.

I would like to be able to use things that I have learned in physics. Trajectory shooting games seem really interesting, but it has been used a decent amount.

Think game where you might have to reach really far over some sort of wall or thing.

Waiter Game 2K23:

Teams place red and blue Foods on Plates and score Plates on their alliance’s Table. Each Plate can fit multiple Foods, and each Table can fit multiple Plates. All Foods are the same size and shape.

Foods on Plates are 1 point each. Plates on Tables are 5 points each, and Foods on those Plates are worth 10 points each. Foods from your own alliance are worth twice as much as Foods from the opposing alliance.

If a Plate is not fully on the Table, the points derived from that Plate are only worth half as much each (so if the Food and Table color do not match, it would be 1 point for the Plate and 5 points for each Food on that Plate, or 2 and 10 if the Food color is the same as your alliance color).

Teams are allowed to remove Plates with Foods from their opponent’s Table, but may not at any point allow that Food to touch the field tiles (if it is being taken from an opponent’s Table and has not been placed on another Table). If this rule is violated, the team is given a Warning, and may receive a DQ if they continue to work on getting that Food to their own Table (though the alliance is allowed to use that Food once they have given the other team time and space to return it to their own Table).

For Skills, Foods and Tables of both colors count for points, but having Food color match Table color doubles the points for that Food.

Edit (inspired by what @Mentor_355U suggested): Another idea would be adding Waters which would also be placed on tables but must be upright, with the narrow end flat on the Table.

Element game.
Or DRow for GDC game, or just DRow for GDC.

I would like to see if a vex motor can spin fast enough to get it’s self off the ground =D

Robot Rumble 2K22-23
There is one rule outside of saftey and zoning: Plz no spinny thing over 3600 RPM. 2 minutes. If a robot doesn’t move for 20 seconds, it is out. You win if both of your opponents are out. Alternatively, if there isn’t a KO, you go to a judge’s decision: 1 Damage, 3 Control, 3 Strategy, 2 Aggression. Winning team is the one with the most points. You can get any portion of any of the (EX: 1-0/2-1/0-3/1-1 for 4-5, going in team 2’s favor.

This is just battlebots but 20 seconds to be out instead of 10

No the countdown begins the second you stop moving here. Battlebots doesn’t start counting down from 10 after 10 seconds.

Welp it won’t ever happen because saftey.

ah, this makes sense

Dining Philosopher’s Game 2k23:

Robots may place a Fork and Plate (preloaded with Food) on the Table for 5 points. To eat the Food, a Robot must pick up 2 Forks, then the Food for 50 points. When at the Table, Robots may only hold no Forks or 2 Forks. When not at the Table, Robots may only hold 1 Fork and 1 Plate. Robots may “Cook” food by placing it on the Plate with a single Fork for 5 points.

I mentioned this somewhere else but: Tipping point V2. Unlike Tipping Point which requires you to put mobile goals on platforms, Tipping point V2 requires you yo put mobile platforms on goals. And you have to park your robot on at least one of the platforms or else all your points will be descored. And as for rings, there are no rings. Instead, there are actual edible donuts and your robot has to enter a donut eating contest and eat 6he most donuts for bonus points (donut eating contest happens directly after the main match and is seperate 2 minutes making each full match be about 4 minutes)

It would be interesting if Change Up was copy/pasted into 22/23. I feel like it really never got a chance to evolve, and it would be very interesting to start off with a half-formed meta. Its really like we only had 1/4 of a season.
