I was just asking if anyone has a Cad file of Vex IQ controller scuffs/paddle. I saw one but it is for sale and already made. So I was hoping someone could help us find one it would be a big help
There’s a company whose name i forget, but if you use a cad software and send them a file, they’ll 3D print, injection mold, or make it in metal. Just a thought.
PCBWay?
PCBway does printed circuit boards.
Lots of public libraries have 3D printers you can get things printed for free / cost of filament. Look around, there’s printing companies near by that may do the scuffs as a donation.
They also will print IIRC. However, I didnt stay at a Holiday Inn last night, so take this with a grain of salt.
I clearly stayed in a Cardboard Box. I’ve used PCBway for PCBs since they turn them and they are cheap to use. I took the time to look at their site, they have a ton of 3D print offerings. I have a local company that’s 20 mins from the house, but next time I need something, I’ll do a quote.
Thanks for the info.
Our school recently bought a 3d printer and we figure we should use it to print controller scuffs for our IQ and V5 team(We already found a file for v5 so we are now just looking for IQ). We are all new to 3d printing and have no knowledge on how to Cad the and print it yet.
We want to learn it but since Nationals is just a month away and we still have a lot of work to put into the robot we really haven’t had the time. So we figure to ask here if there are IQ teams that has a Cad file of controller scuffs.
So, something along the lines of this?
Yea, that was it. I saw the company on a ProjectAir video. ProjectAir is cool.
P.S. I also saw a discussion talking about the legality of scuffs, but assuming they aren’t permanent, don’t worry, they’re legal.
