Is anyone else wishing that the Qwerk controller would be legal for high-school competition–even if it meant not being able to use some of the features such as the DC motor ports?

and theres the programmable vexplorer microcontroller!

There is no programmable VEXplorer controller. What there is is the ability to use the VEX-Red Micro-controller with VEXplorer motors using a special wire which changes the PWM signal into a 2 wire voltage that the motor can use.
