Tl;dr Firmware update always gets to about 75% with no issues and WILL not progress any further, is there any manual way to update it as we need the AI Classification for Push Back

Hi there, I have just unboxed a new VEX V5 AI vision sensor my team recieved as part of our competition super kit and we have Nats in 4 days so just seeing if its something we can quickly implement/experiement with because VEX is fun!
Sadly while is outputs as a very weird green and purple camera we can’t get it to firmware update even after being on the AI sensor library and doing all the instructions thoroughly please help us!

That looks like a hardware issue, time to call vex support.

Oh so the camera colour is an issue not standard, was wondering if it was for better IDing or something, will get in contact now!

model update and firmware update are two separate things.
Was the image looking weird when you first connected it and attempted a firmware update ?

Yes it was looking weird as soon as I plugged it in and has just been in the small box it came in until this afternoon (purchased summer 2025)
