VEXAI Question

What version of Ubuntu is VEXAI OS? Because it is the Jetson Nano, would I assume it is Ubuntu 18.04? Is VEXAI OS using the community made Ubuntu 20.04 version of Jetson Nano? Or a different version? Does VEXAI OS have OpenCV installed, PyTorch Installed, TensorFlow Installed?

“VEX AI OS” isn’t really a thing. The current system is a collection of software installed within the jetson nano image that nvidia provides. This markdown document describes everything that is done to modify that base image, so it should be helpful for you.

## Build the VEX AI System from Source
Go to https://developer.nvidia.com/embedded/learn/get-started-jetson-nano-devkit and follow the instructions. Use the default options, but we recommend that you choose the automatic login option. Then follow the instructions below to initalize the VEX AI System.

Set-up Ubuntu on the Jetson and open a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + T)

**Ensure your Jetson is connected to the Internet via Ethernet or Wi-Fi**

*Hint: You can copy and paste in the terminal with (Ctrl + Shift + V)*

**This will update and upgrade the packages that come default with the Jetson**

1: `sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get -y upgrade`

**We want to install python3 and the related tools**

From what I can tell the base image from nvidia is ubuntu 18.04, and VEX isn’t doing anything to upgrade to subsequent major ubuntu revisions. Doing a little research it seems like that might not even be easy either as some of the hardware in the jetson nano is rather old (maxwell era) and support on up to date versions of ubuntu might require extra work.
