Interesting, but that arm might not be in the required dimensions. It also might be helpful to add a catapult or launcher. The intake and drivetrain look like they would be effective though.

The blocker thing is not permanent, I am going to add a folding section today that extends instead of the big long c channel, that was just to figure out what we wanted.
Flywheel mount once we get versa hubs
With the low amount of matchloading and lower overall scores seen at events lately, wings are probably less of a priority than a good climbing system or matchloading of matchloading into the intake.
With match loading more on the losing side of the match load blocker arms race the meta is changing a lot recently by moving away from who can match load faster to who can defend and beat their opponent’s defence to score a triball or 2 to get them a small winning advantage before going back to defending.
It will be interesting to see if this fully takes over before worlds. And whether the old meta makes a comeback or a totally new meta evolves.
We are gonna put a hang mech on the flywheel towers because of how strong they are, plus the center of gravity is behind the flywheel towers even though it looks like it would be really far forward.
Wings aren’t really our biggest concern right now
We are getting to the launcher and the blocker is almost done, the arm was just to see what we wanted for the blocker.
The wings are mostly for skills purposes. However, having the ability to quickly wap a triball away from an opponent is a nice option to have.
This is the VEX equivalent of the Borzoi dog breed.

Most people’s first mistake is only doing 1 or 2 flex wheels wide
3 flex wheels wide is PERFECT for a hard mounted flywheel.
Also just switched to 3 sets of omnis and 1 set of tractions
