I think it will be something to do with stacking or Sth similar from what I’ve read and the patterns I’ve noticed from users mentioning it but I can be completely wrong
I believe one game will be stacking and one game will be shooting (IQ and v5). Which one is which still remains a mystery to me…
The v5 hero bot is tall, which to me signifies stacking, but the layout of the field feels more like it would suit a shooting game.
Override could signify stacking, but yet again level up could as well, but I am still holding out hope that v5 will get a long awaited shooting game…
They also completely changed the naming scheme for this one. Also, does the theme of the video have anything to do with it?
The theme probably does have something to do with it. I know that in tower takeover there is orange, green and purple cubes. The theme threw me off this year because it was so retro, where the other name reveals actually have like very modern versions of themes.
Usually the IQ games are inspired by the previous year’s v5 game, so I think all the shots with the octagon shapes (blocks) rule out what wont be in the v5 game. Im kinda hoping for a shooting game, but i could see them making a mix between shooting and stacking given the name. Override hints to some way to take points or negate point values, so I think the GDC is starting to make bonuses a normal part of games. Lastly, the phone call talked about the greatest number of robots “inside”, and then cut off. I think this will be some kind of king of the hill park like from Turning Point, so im pretty excited if the game is build and drive centered.
They like to hide easter eggs in the videos
Just a wild guess, but maybe Override could be based on an arcade game, or something like that?

This game trailer seems to be fake, me and other teammates have been analyzing the trailer and have seen many things describing a fake game and “Project Aqueduct” and water emojis so I believe this new game will be a fake out for a real water vex game.
I believe the text that describes a “fake game” is actually just saying that the teasers hidden in the video might be fake, not the game itself. Also, if VEX were to take the “water game” idea seriously, they would probably make another competition like they did with VEX AIR. However, objects referencing water game has appeared in previous VEX game name reveals too, so the references you found in the video are not unusual. There’s probably not going to be a water game anytime soon.
But water game never dies.
I have a feeling that the scoring system is going to be complex and include things that can “Override” your opponents’ score multipliers, hence the name, or an area that can take away points (like high stakes). V5 is going to be a shooting game, and IQ is going to be a put the object in this spot game.
I’m pretty sure that the V5 game is going to be a shooting game, it looks like it’s being set up that way and I heard they might be bringing back game elements from previous games (hence the retro theme maybe?)
I believe the reuse of old elements was a fake text message so not official/leaked but it still could be a possibility, personally though, I just think we will have alot of either different ways AND places to score or less likely, alot of different scoring objects!
I think that the game might have elements similar to previous games (like a combination of them), which is supported by the different name reveals playing on televisions at the end, and the retro theme. I also think that there will be 55 game elements, because last year, there were 88, and in the binary (back to the future reference), 88 was crossed out and replaced with 55. I’m not sure if old game elements will be reused, but certain things might be reused.
Ok, so first thing. When it says “Watch out for T Z & B on scoots at worlds”, could the T,Z, and B be Tyler(master of ceremonies), Zach(video editor pretty sure), and Bailey (GDC) (pretty sure I misspelled his name ), and they are on scooters? Also, I think the game will be a shooting game.
