What is the max score? how many bean bags can fit on level 4 or level 3?
But how is 16 bean bags on L3 physically possible
It’s theoretically possible, but realistically not.
The max we will see is probably 330 to 350 range.
I’ve tinkered a bit with the game, and I’m pretty sure 480 points is possible and feasible. I’m pretty sure we will see (eventually) a max score with 10-15 sec stop time
How would that even be possible? Though the max score did happen in Mix and Match, that was partially because of the combinations and creativity you could have in forming cacti with the pins and beams. I have a feeling the the GDC specifically made it hard to score the max in this game, given the one beanbag possession limit, the limited space on the goals (and the height of the L4’s), and the specific goal zones.
Though the max score might be possible by the end of the season at a stretch, I think it would be impossible in a real competition (nearly no one got max score at worlds even Mix and Match season), due to driver flaws, and the overall stress and unfamiliarity of the competition fields.
To achieve that kind of speed, you would probably need either a really fast lifter, or a very fast/ efficient launcher, and given the overall constrains of IQ, the motors, and the friction I think it would be very hard, even if you had 20 hours a week. Maybe with impeccable teamwork and communication between the teams though…
This is my problem with catapults this season - to make them work, you have to make them perfect. This means no mistakes when shooting, and 100% consistency, which is almost impossible. The thing that isn’t helping is also the rule that beanbags exiting the field can’t be re-loaded. So if you miss, no max score.
