This is a quick sketch I drew, the arrow points to their conveyer, it was tall enough to grab starting pins, not tall enough to stack those starting pins, only set them down, and also couldn’t grab pins from the field.
For our first match ever as a freshman team we didn’t know who was driving and so we asked a kid ‘can you drive’ as in ‘do you know how to drive’ and he said sure! Then he just ran the base drive code rather than running the program and our robot was dead in the water.

Don’t know if this was a bad thing, but…
Our V5 team was minding our own business during robotics one day when the yearbook club barged in. They started taking pictures, and I made sure to be in every one of them. (The thing was that I was eerily holding a hammer and side eyeing the camera in each one). I can’t wait until the yearbook comes out… Or maybe I can wait. 
Right side auton ran on left side cuz we accidently clicked the brain before a match then our radio disconnected then our bot got flipped then our other teammate got stuck. Oh yeah did I mention that we ran into our teammate during auton and broke our chain so we couldnt score. All in one match btw.
no way! that happened to our team too! it happened twice, with the same team ;(
I was driving that match lol. To make matters worse it was over under, so we started in the Little area between the Wall, the hanging bar, and the pipe in the ground. WE WERE USING MECANUM WHEELS. Also, not us, but one of our sister teams was on an alliance with a team that was building their drivetrain while queuing for a match… Good times
We had a teammate that built last year’s hero bot and the arm snapped an fell off (this was in quarter finals of our local match)
The worst thing I remember happening was to our sister team. Last year they had a bad scoring Robot at their first comp. They were with a good offensive team for Eliminations, so they decided to deconstruct half of the subsystems for “defensive purposes.” Our coach had to intervene before they got to the drivetrain.
Funny enough, the Robot got completely destroyed in the first few seconds of the match. The lesson: don’t ever do this to your Robot.
Our robot was lost by the airline company, we arrived to the competition with no robot… And it was lost forever and not refunded…
something similar happened to us in tipping point year at worlds our robot didn’t get on the same flight as us so we didn’t get it till late the night before the competition
for me this happened recently our intake wasn’t working properly and we got stuck on top of a octoball the whole match we couldn’t do anything the whole two minutes.
people who do not know a single thing about V5 will be wondering why you’re even holding a hammer in the first place 
In my 8th grade year i finally managed to make it to states for the first time. And of course on the first day of states, i let my teammates do drive team by themselves for ONE MATCH so i could get a five minute break, and they DISASSEMBLED THE CLAMP WITHOUT ASKING ME IF THEY SHOULD because a SINGLE AXLE WAS LOOSE. Mind you, already that year i ended up having to build and program the entire robot myself because all of my teammates either refused to work or couldn’t do basic things like building a U chassis. So then since we already only had one or two matches left that day i decided to just remove myself from the situation before my intrusive thoughts won and just left for the rest of that days stretch of the competition. And then the next day i arrived at the other half of the competition to find my teammates had changed, and ruined, not just the clamp, but also out CONVEYOR AND INTAKE. And just to give a little bit of context as to how bad this was, this was during the 24-25 season with the game “High Stakes” where a conveyor was basically the only actually effective way of scoring.
I was doing auton and my robot started spinning like a ballerina

I think the worst thing that happened to my team was our robot falling off of a table during state finals and shattering like legos. We barely managed to get it back together by the time the competition ended.
lol one time the measurements they were using for inspection was an inch short so we didnt pass and for some reason we had the bright idea to take apart our whole bot? anyways our bot passed but barely worked and we were almost deadlast
last year, Peptobismal, my robot, fell off a table during competition
That horrible, my first teams ever tournament we had the hero bot which isn’t very well designed. The robot got stuck on another teams robot and we couldn’t move the entire match. Not really bad but we couldn’t do anything.
Our driver quit in the middle after getting DQ’d, proceeded to cuss us out and then leave, we had to grab one of our notebookers as a backup because we have such a small team
