What is your favorite piece that serves a niche purpose and is actually useful?

Just the above question. Coach has extra budget, and we are already practically drowning in essentials like brains, batteries, controllers, pins, beams, etc.

I like the vex robotics v5 aluminum 2 by 1 by 35 c-channel

We are in IQ. (20char)

Teams love these, they can solve weird / hard connection problems,

I’ve never really had a use for the end caps to support a motor except when I was hanging a motor off a 1x beam and needed to support the far end. If you are building an HDrive, one of these with proper support can stiffen the entire chassis.

But the rectangular supports are great for creating builds that are mostly standoffs. In the little bots that have back to back motors I use them to give added support to the structure. The little bots are rickety at best and need all the help they can.

This makes it easy to get all the 1x beams at a time. It has all the sizes and is one of my togo purchase items to upgrade competition teams.

I had assumed you all have the advanced corner kit.

My son likes the caps for the reasons you mention. Current bot (they have regionals this weekend and I assume won’t tinker any further) appears to use 3 of them.

Vex V5:
I love using earring flats to hold long standoffs together, or to help stretch rubber bands

I like the corner connecters cause it has good connection and also fills up hole

V5: I cannot understate how great pillows and shaft collars are.
