Flex wheel alternative for intake

[IMG_20250121_141136] Hi, our team doesn’t have any flex wheels. So we are using treads with rubber bands for our intake. Should we change them with something on image? (I’m also open for another suggestions)

Adding on to this, I’ve seen many teams also use anti slip mat on thier intake, if your team has it than it may be something to consider

Flex wheel alternatives

Rubber band + sprocket rollers, intake rollers, chain with flaps. Prior to there being flex wheels, there were many ways to move game objects through a robot… look to older season designs.

When will Flex wheels be in stock?

Might try other suppliers. AFIAK legal. Anyone know otherwise?

1st Stage Intake

I have to say I was doubtful at first but I’ve done my testing and its actually working very well for our team. I will take back most of what I’ve said before, I still think that flex wheels are more consistent and have some pros but not having them isn’t hurting as much as I had thought. Plus not having them saves a motor (or a lot of messy chain) for whatever you want it for too. We didn’t go the route of pick up like that jhawk/9motor gang video but more like 1000a or 74947k.
