I would like to see something that could be super cool, which is legalizing a specific predetermined size of PVC pipe for gameplay. This could open a whole range of creative possibilities without hurting accessibility, and Vex games use them as elements all the time.
New design mecanum wheels that don’t have the rollers sticking out beyond the wheel hub, and also have them in different sizes. It’s literally the only thing I want.
After posting actually, I able to think of some other things.
- Field Monitor Stands and Smart Field Controller mounts available for purchase outside of the USA.
- Structural rail pieces being available for purchase individually, not in a kit.
- Better chain, made from a more durable or stronger material.
- Inertial sensors with magnetometers for precise orientation and position tracking.
- Revamped V5 brain with USB-C ports for connecting to PCs and batteries, and better port protection on the brain to stop them dying.
- Revamped V5 controller with hall effect sensors and USB-C ports.
- Ways to repair ports or joysticks on V5 brains or controller joysticks when they stop working without voiding warrenty or becoming illegal parts.
Bigger and better bevel gears, like maybe ones made of metal
11W motors with casing designed to be hot-swappable, that can “click” or otherwise get secured into motor mounts, even if a tool is needed to remove the motor. No more hacks with rubber bands and zip ties.
