Why do Flex Wheels get dirty?

Is it just me or is it that flex wheels get super dirty and by dirty i mean hair on them?

Flex wheels are made from a Silicone Rubber. Silicone, as a material, is generally pretty sticky to dust, hair, and other FOD (Foreign Object Debris).
