Will 2020-2021 season of Vex be canceled this year

For our state they are opening the schools but we have to choose if we want to go to school or not. My parents still did not decide yet but I think for our county if there are less students in school they will shutdown the schools and we will not be able to coemptions, Just hope that lots of students go to school or else I will fell very sad

I can assure you that you want fewer people, not more, going out to public places.

Especially when most of the people in question can’t really be trusted with proper wearing of PPE.

many school districts are making decisions now, but the situation can change so much from before september that all school-related decisions are pretty much pointless. A lot of it might just be for show, as I’m sure many people are demanding that school districts make decisions, even when its too early to say.

I’m just going to remind you that safety of everyone comes before everything else.

I think the rules for comps will be changed to accommodate social distancing, such as limiting the amount of players to a field to two. making a requirement on how large a venue has to be for a certain amount of teams. such as a comp I went to where the whole thing was on a stage (pits backstage, fields in the front, and had 32 teams) I think that kind of layout will be banned.

as well as require masks and such…

I think you might be confused as to how education works. “Shutting down the schools” is not an option. Distance learning, however, is. In most places distance learning will likely be offered as an alternative for students whose parents are not comfortable sending their children to the physical school, even when/if campuses open. Schools are funded by the number of students who attend on a daily basis, so if schools don’t offer options for parents who don’t want their kids on campus, they will most likely pull their students out of the school and have them attend an online charter or private school. The schools would lose a lot of funding, so they won’t let this happen. The number of parents who chose the distance learning option has little to nothing to do with when/if the school will be able to host events. As others have already said, that will be determined by district and state health regulations.

actually, according to google, your county (forsyth county which includes cumming, georgia) has over a thousand confirmed cases, and in reality there are probably at least five times that. So lockdown in your county would be a very good decision to make, to ensure the safety of the people.

those are rookie numbers

FLORIDA OP

don’t talk to me about numbers
oof

You can’t compare a country to a county

Have you seen a map of Michigan cases? Detroit is the worst. The cases basically slowly deplete from there…

California is its own place

Cali is an independent country now

Lol. Really now?

Sometimes I wish… Then I realize that would be really bad in a lot of different ways for California, the rest of the US, and the world.

Rookie numbers for us

Better learn how to spell it or we’ll send you back :eyes:

I would also reccomend face shields on top of masks

Fixed That For You.

Well let’s start at the top then… The thread title contains a spelling mistake and VEX isn’t capitalized.

And should say “the 2020-2021”
