I know this is a bit far out but in version 3.0 of the game manual or some other update, I think that using string or string launchers for the endgame will either get banned or they would add a rule that make them essentially useless. What does everyone else think?

One more thing to consider - field monitors are protected by S1 and R4. It would be quite reasonable to fail a team at inspection that launches something like air reservoir nuts due to the potential damage to a display.

Read the game manual. Is fishing line legal? Do you really want to give the refs an aneurysm?

This, like other competition rules, will probably go through changes as the season progresses. Of course… it seems like it will add some serious end-game excitement also.

I’m not sure if this hunch is right, but that update kind of gives me sg3 vibes.

I really don’t like the G14 is voided part of the rule. The way it stands, I could force your robot outside of the field and you would get DQed.

But you’d also get DQd. The math isn’t very good on that.

I think it’s making much safer for people on the outside of the field. There is a surprising number of teams that have looked at using the air tank nut as a weight.
