Was the noise at 0:07 actually from the robot cuz it was really satisfying
Nice robot! I like how the second stage of the tray is extendable (I like how that eliminates the need for a third stage). One quick question: What is the max # of cubes that your robot can hold at once?
Imagine Just coping the bot for the sound of the tray unfolding
How does the tray unfold? Is it rubberbanded or something else?
The second tray segment is a flip out with bands holding it in place. When cubes are intaked in from autonomous, it deploys.
Our robot has a capacity of 8 cubes and it is able to score and descore from all towers but the highest one (38").
Its from our tray deploy. The smack at the end is indeed satisfying!
I concur with this sentiment. It really showcases 1961Z’s driver skills in a much more realistic light. <3 from 675A
Welp, looks like someone found out about our op driving skills!
(Three posts on the same video within the same time frame… Hmm…)
Indeed. The fact that this driver was so gracious as to show us his true skill is quite exhilarating.
I think everyone should consider subscribing to the channel that produced the clearly superior video showcasing the amazing driver skills.

I love the bot, but this is more of a reveal vid than a teaser… unless there’s more of Mk III we haven’t seen yet…
I love the tilter mechanism in particular. That sort of linkage is really kind of underused, I think.
I notice we aren’t shown tower descoring in the teaser. I assume it’s just intaking at a higher level, but does the tower “cup” interfere with that?
The 2-bar mechanism can descore, however it was too iffy in some cases to make it consistent. Mk. III serves as a skills-oriented robot, so we didn’t specify descoring as one of the major aspects. Thank you for the kind words!
BOOTS is bad… but I still love you.
We had problems using chain on the intake like that, at least in actual matches. When an opponent hits your chain, it kinda just falls apart.
And I thought my robot was actually decent
