I personally want a game where offense is defense - scoring for you makes it harder to score for the other team - like connecting magnetic barriers gives you points, but makes it harder for the opponents to move.
I think that it’s going to be a high scoring game. Looking at the pattern between these games there is a pattern in the way that these games are scored. By low scoring I mean less than 100 and by high scoring I mean less than 100

Gateway: Low Scoring
Sack Attack: High Scoring
Toss Up: Low Scoring
Skyrise: Low Scoring/High Scoring (Because most scores were below 100 but a few went above 100 so it falls somewhere in the middle)
Nothing But Net: High Scoring
Starstruck: Low Scoring
In the Zone: High Scoring
Turning Point: Low Scoring

I always find higher scoring games to be much more enjoyable. Plus, it’s always interesting to see the highest score that an alliance got all season. Back and forth games at high levels almost seem like a coin flip and whoever gets the last shots will win.

In all seriousness a game that would mainly be played toward the ceiling would be really cool although a pain for drivers to get perception.
Turning point would be a fantastic game if the scoring was more balanced, increased and buff caps. I would like to see another game where the scoring objects interact with each other, like ITZ or skyrise (kinda). Those games get to see robots of peak efficiency that work really well. Hopefully there is not as much design convergence though. I dislike games like starstruck because of how simple it is, just 2 bars with massive claws were basically the golden robot.

I’d be ok with another shooting game but only if the things we had to shoot weren’t balls (be cool if it were frisbees or or something bigger than what a flywheel or puncher/ catapult could do.
I’d honestly like to see something using beanbags. We haven’t seen something like that since sack attack, and I think that it could lead to some fresh intake designs, since the last couple years have been a lot of rubber bands.
That’s a good idea. Especially the more fluid and morphing ones. That’ll make us do more shovel or claw types of things vs. what we’ve done for two years in a row.
