Theres nothing in the rulebook limiting what you can have, so im assuming that this allows you to completely sweep the field of rings once the match starts. id suggest primarily focusing on mogo first but have a competent ringscorer so u can get tie-braking points
What makes you think x-drives will be unable to climb the platform? As meng said, x-drives could climb platforms in TuP, which seems like a harder challenge if anything. It seems like it would have plenty of traction. I guess torque could be an issue…but what else?
I see no reason an x drive would have a particularly difficult time climbing the platform. it requires no ground clearance, only a decent amount of traction and torque. which if built properly, and x drive should have.
A possible misconception here is that the bots need to climb up the height of the pole to begin the climb, In this case, though the polycarb reaches to the ground providing a consistent ramp right to the ground. As Meng stated they could climb up the height of the piping of turning points parking platform so climbing a slight incline should be a breeze.
Here is a video of a nbn robot with an x-drive climbing a ramp. It takes a bit, and the angle is smaller than the tipping point ones are, but it works.
Well, with the new manual update it looks like it’s legal until the endgame period (last 30 seconds of the match). So until then, it’s totally legal to do so. Still waiting on the response for this QNA, although with the new manual update I bet it’ll be answered soon.
