Yeah I agree that having to make lifts would definitely make it more enjoyable. I do want a game where we need to lift/shoot because that means there are many ways to successfully go about the game. Something that sounds fun to me too would be a high up tray that we have to shoot balls into (like sack attack) and we also stack stuff (like skyrise)
No, not Qr4b. Either Dr4b or Qr8b (laughs in 12 foot towers).
Honestly, the Center Goal was my favorite part of TT. It was super cool to see teams attempt to score up there by utilizing existing parts of the bot (knocking the cube off the tray, stacking next to the tower and popping one in, etc). The tall tower was a worthy reward for those willing to chase it. I would love to see the next game have a similar way to score.
Didn’t have enough weight and if you saw them doing this you could easily push them since its difficult to go that high that fast and a good opposing team has an equal amount of colors to you completely nullifying this strategy.
Maybe if it doubled all of your cubes it would be more important.
we need an endgame like in turning point. Different things to do and challenging objects. TT was definately some challenging objects and TP was a diverse element game
I liked both
i agree, i really want direct scoring and climbing
I really miss having an endgame. I would love to see one similar to the ones in Starstruck and Toss Up (hanging robots) or Nothing But Net (elevating alliance partner) this upcoming season.
I agree with this. The platform fights in turning point were fun.
Definitely something with an endgame for sure. Haven’t had one for two years, games are getting boring and it’s obvious that the robot designs are becoming more and more similar every year. Tbh I want a game where there is more than one thing to do that isn’t an endgame, while also having an endgame (like TP). I would actually love to see a game that has two primary scoring options and an endgame. TP didn’t really have this because shooter robots were so much easier to build and it was faster to score points that way, but I would like to see something where there are two options to be able to easily build something competetive to score in a way that is very similar to the other option. For example, TP had shooting. It was really easy to build a shooting robot, and it was really easy and quick to score points with those robots. TT had stacking. Really easy to build a functioning tray robot, and also decently quick and high scoring in a short amount of time. If you combine these two scoring methods, and then add in either the parking endgame from TP or ITZ, and you have yourself an insanely complicated and fun game. Very unrealistic but that would be an absolute dream game of mine, considering how it combines three different games that were all competetive and included quality robot options, as well as being inclusive of basic clawbots.
Happy Birthday!
2020
I don’t know that I would call TT tray-bots and TP shooters
But they weren’t nearly as hard to build as the ones in ITZ or Skyrise looked. But I do agree with all of your points. And Happy Birthday!
Thanks! I don’t think that easy was the best word to use but when those robots are the meta for their game, they get easier to build and improve on over the course of the season. If there were more than one meta, those robots would be awesome to build and compete with each other, especially in matches with different types of robots allianced with and against each other.
I think it will be a harder game with an endgame. Hopefully at least
harder game = better game
Yes. It makes it a lot more interesting.
Yep, the more time I have to spend thinking and prefecting the bot, the happier I am!
TRIPLE BIRTHDAYS?
June must have been a fun month for a couple of people
This was fun, Same time next year fellas?
