But in all honesty, this game looks pretty similar to FTC Ultimate goal and FRC Ultimate Ascent. Also I like the idea of having your opponent’s low goal underneath your high goal. But I predict that at high level play it’s gonna be not that big of a factor since high goal discs are worth a lot more anyways.

Shooting these is going to be difficult. I think the meta will be front intake, 5 disk capacity, dual scissor lifts, and an x-drive. With a one motor roller.

So I guess “spin up” partly because you spin the roller so it fills all of the area between the pointers, which requires that part of it to be pointing up. And partly because the frisbees spin and are ideally scored above the field.

Rn I’m a VIQC student, so at first when I saw this I was like “y do I gotta join on such a hard game.” But then 20 seconds later I was thinking of countless ideas, also I’m assuming there will be a rule where your robot can’t go higher than the poles holding up the basket otherwise this game might be to easy. But ya super pumped to be joining VRC

If there are no limits on how much anti-slip mat you could use, you could zip-tie many sheets together, end to end.
Would the mat count as part as your robot if you rolled it out like a carpet during the last 10 seconds? This is akin to dropping a roll of toilet paper, where it rolls away and extends in a long line. This would allow for some pretty sizeable horizontal coverage.

This game will be very coding heavy due to the autonomous points being bloated a bit .

I think there will be a vertical expansion limit as well as a horizontal one. However we do know that for the last 10 seconds the horizontal limit is removed.

This game looks awesome, and pretty tricky. I wish I could play it! Being a senior kinda sucks.

I think this strat would be too OP so wouldn’t get my hopes too high for this idea as the game manual is yet to be released
