I mean i speak a little french but i do think that other non-english speakers might have a harder time to pronounce it
That´s bad on my part lol, i honestly thought he was being serious and was so confused. Thank you for clarifying it.
The game elements a.k.a. greased pigs⌠it doesnât take much AT ALL to make them ârollâ. But they roll in unpredictable ways, and thatâs putting it lightly. Then they wobble back/forth, taunting you.
110 grams plus or minus
Confirmed - it will not break.
Coz we have tested it on our punchers.
The goal post bends. 20 char
Anyone know if 4 inch wheels with 480 rpm can go over the center barrier?
you cannot expand more than 32" horizontaly during the match. there is no vertical size limit. you also may not intentinaly detach parts from your robot.
Try it and see? Others would want to know. The barrier pipe is the same diameter as elements from past seasons, and also the same as 2"id pvc pipe at your local builder store.
[No idea why you want to go so fast when the field has such convoluted pathing.]
Oh, sorry my mistake.
how well would the idea of a puncher bot funtion. I feel like it would not be accurate.
they bounce off of hard surfaces like robots, not so much on the feild tiles. they go in a semi straight line when they roll. very lightweight, exact weight in the game manual. made of a slippery type of plastic. magnum wheels grip them easily and effectively.
you canât shoot them directly into the goal, so you can only shoot them into the offensive zone for two points each. I did a short statistic and you can launch them fast but can only get 44 points max because you will run out of match-loads. even if you have to traverse across the field to pick up a matchload from the loading area and deliver it to the goal you get more than twice the amount of points you would by launching.
all the game element dimensions that you could ever want are at the back of the game manual.
game element dimensions can also be pulled from the cad if you really want
I agree that you canât shoot them directly in, but I was wondering if you could shoot them on top. This is because the goal is a 3d object that goes above the net, and only 2 corners of the tri-ball have to be inside. Does anyone see where it says you canât do this?
So youâre saying that if I just âaccidentallyâ pushed 10 triballs into the goal, it would be completely legal? ![]()
Note appended to <SG3>:
Note: Triballs which come to rest on top of a Goal may be retrieved by a Drive Team Member from
the Alliance Station adjacent to the Goal in question. The Triball is then considered a Match Load
for the Alliance who retrieved the Triball. This momentary interaction is an exception to rule <G9>
Presumably, this implies that the top of the net and upward is, in fact, not part of the goal. So while you could put them there, I donât think they would count as scored and they could be removed by the other team for their own match loads. Also, they might roll off and you certainly wouldnât be able to put many there consistently, unlike the 60 that can fit inside the low goal.
TL;DR
You can but donât unless youâre against me
Consider this: does it need to be accurate? Really the only purpose of any type of launcher will be to get it to the other side quickly, ideally not going into the net or out of the field. Thatâs a wide space to be launched into, and wherever a launched acorn does land, it will be hard to predict where it will go because of its funny shape, much like how a football/rugby ball can go in strange directions.
My point is: you can only get and only need a certain degree of accuracy.
Try building and testing one for yourself to assess how useful it would be ![]()
Physically, you can shoot them on top, though weâve found it difficult to get them to come to rest there.
Iâd suggest you re-read the rules defining the goals.
The GDC understands that the triballs may wind up on the net and the game manual clearly specifies how this is handled. You would do well to read the rules carefully
