I think everyone is going to be focused on stacking based on their robots speed.

Unfortunately for this, just based on point efficiency/logic it won’t work, for example, lets say you place the cup to block one of your opponents pins on a neutral goal thats -5 for them, then lets say instead you place it over a pin of your colour to protect it (clear side down) then you have +5 which negates their 5 and also sets you up with an opaque side for your next pin, rather than their next pin!, also to that end the zones will probably end up dictating where you score as the time to go between goals is detrimental to your scoring speed too!
so glad I’m still in IQ I would have crashed out trying to make a bot for a V5 Mix and Match
It’s really not… With the possession limits, toggles, and non-moveable scoring locations, robots and strategy will be much different than mix and match, regardless of the difference between IQ and V5.

Let’s say that for next year, i want become a better driver. What do ya’ll recommend i do increase my driving skills?(like is there some sort of simulation or something i can practice on?)
By the way i can’t actually practice on an actual vex bot.
You can use xrc simulator,
it’ll take them till August to release Override, but from my experince it has helped me a lot with strategy and decsion making while driving irl.
I’d recommend working on hand-eye coordination, whether that means playing video games, tennis, etc. Try to get a grip on the controller that you’re comfortable with, (when you have access to a controller), and practice memorizing buttons without having to look down to find it. And, of course, practice matters. I know you don’t have access to a robot right now, but when you do, practice, practice, practice! This will give you the most improvement fast.
I think they had no descoring for override because there was a lot of descoring in push back.
I think what they intended with the 55 wattage limit is a PTO system with 2 half motors that are only dedicated to the drivetrain for the PTO system to switch to torque a drivetrain for the end game.
PTOs to the drive are illegal
PTOs to the drive, yes. But not PTOs on just the drive such as transmissions. Something that always keeps the drivetrain at or below 55W that changes the speed of the drive is legal
