With our design today at NWVRC, we could push the sacks out of the back without the bar there. It surprisingly has more friction than it may seem but then again that isn’t very much. Just enough to keep the sacks away from the rollers so they dont fall out.

Hello again! During the NWVRC tournament we took alot of video and we wanted to share it! So here it is www.youtu.be/MFBZ52patKI Im sure Jordan will also be uploading the videos separately, but I have the times in the description for the different matches.
As for how we did, we won the tournament with 24A and 341 be as our alliance partners. And 24Z also did fairly well for their first competition. They got into the finals but did not make it that far. 24C won the Build Award and Robot Skills with 115 points while 24A won the Design Award. All in all it was a pretty good tournament.

Just wondering, have you ever attempted to score in the high goal by rolling the sacks out of the back of your conveyor? This is of course assuming that your conveyor system stays at the same angle as it reaches its maximum height.
No we have not attempted to, mostly because our arm needs the stop to hold as many sacks as we can. But other than that we changed our arm height and now it does not reach high enough to do that if we wanted to. We did consider it while designing our robot and decided against it because we planned on having it pick up so many sacks and scoring many at a time that trading that for scoring in the high goal and loosing our ability to score mass amounts of sacks was not necessarily worth it.

Hello, everyone! 24C just competed at the Battle by the Bay tournament yesterday, an event with 88 High School teams in two divisions, and 31 Middle School teams in another division.
After a mechanical malfunction and partner (or lack thereof) vs opponent trouble in our fourth and fifth matches, we ended up in 8th place for alliance selection in Division 1 with a record of 4-2-0. (We later “moved up” to be the head of the 5th seeded alliance.)
After communication with some other teams in the top 8, we went to alliance selection a bit unprepared to pick, and after not being picked ourselves, had to do some on-the-fly scouting. However, it ended up working out fine, and we picked two teams with some great kids on them. We would like to thank teams 934B and 5588C for being a part of our alliance.
Our alliance had a couple losses and a few close matches in the elimination rounds (5 points and 6 points) many others were sure wins (but all were certainly intense), and we went on to win our division, and competed against the #2 seeded winning alliance of Division 2. After three rather intense matches, we won the event. Again, thank you to 934B and 5588C. We will see you at the World Championship!
As for video, I was able to record all of our qualification matches, and a few of the elimination round matches (unfortunately none of the championship Finals, but still many exciting matches). I have begun uploading them to my YouTube channel, http://youtube.com/JordanKiesel, and should have all of them up soon. I have also finished uploading all of the video from the Northwest VRC Tournament we competed in on October 27th.

Cool! We actually had both. The first was mainly just by one robot, 929W. They were in the other division, so 24C only played them in the Championship Final round. The second happened a few times, mostly once again by a team from the other division. They were part of 929W’s alliance, so we played them in the Championship Final round, as well.

Yes, we are signed up for that tournament! Hoping to fix a couple things on our robot, and fix that lame autonomous we have before then.

So doesn’t this mean it’s a somewhat pointless thing to argue about? Especially considering out of 5000 teams worldwide there’s bound to be at least 50 that named their robot omnom.
Since Om Nom is already used, you could just do Nom Om Nom.
