As many of you who are involved in running events and/or setting up webcasts have discovered, the free Open Broadcaster Studio (aka OBS Studio, https://obsproject.com/) is a great tool to use at VEX events to achieve a relatively high video production quality with low effort and expense. It works well to both place camera feeds on an in-house projector for audience viewing as well as making it easy to stream the event out to the web on Youtube, Twitch, or many other streaming services.
To make it even easier to integrate OBS into your event, we’ve created an unofficial OBS plugin that lets you pull in the TM audience display directly as another video source. With this, the TM audience display can easily be overlaid on top of your live video without having to deal with chroma-keying (green-screening) or desktop capturing. Just add the TM Display source and make sure it’s ordered above your camera video source(s) and you’ll get the overlay functionality automatically.
Currently the plugin is supported on Windows with the 64-bit version of OBS Studio only.

One final note: as stated, this is an unofficial project. Do not contact VEX or RECF for any issues related to this plugin. If you have questions or comments, post them here in this thread.
Yes, “All” is exactly like if you started up a normal audience display, the only difference is the display image goes straight into OBS instead of going into a window like normal.
That makes me so happy! In the past, I’ve had to “cheat” the always-on-top nature of fullscreen TM windows by placing them in a virtual desktop… That was annoying…
