So at tournaments in my limited experience of Vex, I’ve noticed the major skill gap in average bots from middle school to high school to college is large. I can’t find any VexU robot reveals, and none of my tournaments have VexU sections. Is there any ways to see and apply the amazing ideas college teams must be using after high school.

VEX U teams usually do their robot reveals right before or right after Worlds. So far, the only one I’ve seen was OWL Bay Robotics and their M-O Robot.
So, I guess we’re just gonna have to sit tight till Worlds.
VEX U competitions don’t even start until January because it takes more time to design and make the custom parts we need for our design (3D printing, Rubber casting and machining metal).
Also, there’s not as much incentive to have reveals for Vex U. In VRC name recognition is really important because you have to alliance with other teams and either pick a team and not get rejected or get picked by a good team.
In Vex U, name recognition is not as important because all matches are 1v1. Also, it is a lot easier because there aren’t as many teams and you tend to recognize the really good teams, the really friendly teams and the unfriendly teams after 1 or 2 competitions.
Also in Vex U if you have a unique design, which most u-teams do, having a reveal will allow other teams to see the design and counter it. I know several teams will post robot explanations after the season is over rather than reveals before hand.
