Ball lockout - critical flaw in game design?

Yeah that’s going to be a much bigger problem than I thought. Yikes.

That’s what I’ve been saying…

Yeah that’s definitely a problem

That or change up is going to be a 5 goal game I guess

Jeez. That looks pretty easy to do. Heck…

The ball self-guides itself into the corner by default. You just have to hit it. Pops right in.

How do I post the video so that a thumbnail shows up in the forum here instead of the link?

You should probably attach the video link to the original post to raise even more awareness. That’s just crazy.

This looks like a problem. Has anyone else had this problem?

How to I post it so that it shows as a preview?

iv bean able to duplicate it at my field without a bot mine is currently under construction

what do you even mean by who else has this problem, its a fundamental flaw in the design of the goals.

I expect this to be patched in the manual update, I’ll be disappointing if it isn’t.

I mean is this a manufacturing problem.

I just saw this and think this could be exploited very easily and make the cyclebots irrelivant.

no, everyone’s goals will be able to do this.

Okay just making sure

probably ziptie or standoff. I hope they increase the tolerance on the bottom 2 rings, but they probably won’t.

And given the circular nature of a ball, it will happen if the rings are +/- 6.13" spacing slightly. You need to get spacing opened up to ball diameter plus .1" to avoid this. Or put a barrier behind/across the posts.

not that game breaking. It just lowers the goals that will be in play, and will basically kill most of the tic tac toe element, because it blocks almost all the rows from being completed.

It would be design, not mfg. Mfg would be if the balls were square or rings were missing sections.

Or if the balls differed from the nominal size by greater than the margin of error (it seems that this could be the case…?)
