2 full rotations. That’s what it takes for a small shaft to break, courtesy of a high torque motor in a 1:7 gear ratio, needless to say after seeing this my team found an alternate solution that didn’t involve putting so much torque on the axle, always try to keep the torque on the gears and only have axles as pivot points, whenever possible!

We had to use an axle that looked like a Twizzlers for one of our matches.
Yeah, we had some shafts that looked like that after a few months on our robot. We turned them into drill bits for drilling through lexan.
the best counter weights that I have found are the new 24 tooth steel gears. They are very chonk.
