Nice, that is exactly what my team did in Tower Takeover for our traybot (although we used smaller c-channels and it probably weighed a couple of pounds less). A counterweight is easy to make/add, and (in my opinion) looks better than just adding random structure to the robot (like some teams in my region have resorted to).
That’s not cursed, thats just a regular occurrence (I have every badge for that)
