Thatâs not uncommon for us. Iâd say probably half of our 1x1 L-channels are just C-channels cut in half
Thatâs where youâre wrong my friend. That piece of metal was originally a 1 by 1 L channel.
The best way to clean this up is with a magnet, but with a piece of plastic like a tupperware container over the magnet for an easy release of the parts that it picks up.
For spacing, right? I had to do that on my tipping point bot, otherwise the lift hit. You should see our parts bin, weâve got c-channels cut in half, 3 wide c-channels cut in half, 1x2 L-channels, and some L-channels that are cut so close they might as well be 1-bar. Iâve also seen a 5 wide c-channel turned into a 1x5 L-channel with strips cut out of it like a key.

I feel you. Our coach is coming back on August 11. Until then, we wonât have access to our parts and the field when it arrives.
Iâm in iq middle school and we wouldnât start our season until late october. Luckily though we found a team who would be willing to borrow us a kit and field for the summer.
Yeah it really sucks. Weâre doing a turret and a lot of complex code is going into it, and I need to get started already. Ive had no access to testing my code since spin up came out, as the tech guy messed up horribly in installing applications (didnât install vexcode, and installed atom instead of vscode which led to me being unable to upload my code) and itâs gonna be almost three months that we havenât even started anything except Odometry (thatâs âdoneâ even tho itâs not tested)
I canât go in until the first Thursday in July which started at the beginning of June, so I havenât even been in my robotics room since the start of the season.
