Don’t you hate it when you took a chassis home for the summer to practice programming, and 3 of the 4 motors were dead so you basically couldn’t do anything over the summer? On the bright side though, I was allowed to drive around last year’s bot for the club fair at freshmen orientation. It turns out chasing freshmen with a robot is an effective way of garnering new members

Don’t you hate it when the high school team says that can’t meet, meaning that the middle schoolers can’t meet either.
I was brought into a group of 4/5 people and they gave me the 5th’s robot when I knew nothing about VEX. The school had one team of two, and three teams of one including the guy who never showed up. I slowly learned stuff on my own and was my new school’s expert when I transferred out half a year later. So now my new school has more than 20 people signed up, and only 4 brains, and not enough cables/wires. I don’t know how this is going to work yet, but I am in charge now, so I’ll figure it out.
Also nobody knows how to use an engineer’s notebook or how to CAD VEX, including me, and that probably won’t be figured out. 
Heh, any suggestions on that? I was never taught the recording part of the process, I only fixed mechanical stuff.

My autonomous should work, in theory. But there were other robots there
I used a thin file like a saw at a tournament once because the polycarbonate kept vibrating instead of cutting when the other guy tried to cut it. We had to hold it on the edge of a wobbly table and the hack saw was cutting all over the place from the movement, but the small teeth of the sharp file worked perfectly, and almost as fast too.

Don’t you hate it when you file a 12" shaft down to a 3" shaft. Not cut, file. I filed 9 inches off of a shaft because it’s more consistent than a hacksaw.
