when its auton period but your auton doesnt connect and the ref ignores you and you lose auton because of it
Was it just your auton, or your alliances auton?
just ours, our alliance had one but didnt score points
If your alliances auton started, you shouldn’t.jave gotten a re-do. The game manual sataes redos only happen if both teams on an alliance get impacted.at the same time
How to run robots on field control with 0 issues
- Turn on robot and place it
- Turn on controller and plug to tower
- find and run program
If robot is not linked then make sure you link it
The code has to be running before the match in order for everything to start right
also code is odd sometimes
the way my team remembers the controller and code running is it sets our pneumatics in position so we can preload it
there was never a redo nor did we ask for one, we asked the ref to wait before starting the match but he didn’t hear us or something
This can be schedule dependent if it was heard. Part of the head ref’s responsibility is to work with the EP in running the event smoothly and timely. You might get an extra minute, but the entire tournament won’t wait for a team who hasn’t prepared themselves.
Don’t you hate it when you have state competition in 2 days but your driver has about 45 minutes of practice because the freshman says “Its not important”
- PLEASE send help *
Don’t you hate it when its the day of the competition and your driver has about 10 minutes to practice after you JUST finished building your robot. That was us during one of our tournaments…
You guys let your driver practice before competitions? At the first competition, we just handed him the controller to a robot that used every single button in the controller and said “good luck!”
Well, we get there early most of the time, and we try and do as many practice runs as possible before the other teams come in. Also, our code would be bare bones at that point, with no auton. We’d have to make it the day of because of ourselves building kinda late.
Don’t you hate it when you blow at least 4 ports at one competition and you program it at the queuing table one match, but right when you hit download, the laptop dies and then the next match when you are trying to fix it, the controller disconnects from the robot and they keep telling you that you shouldn’t program at the field? We blew a port that match too.
Lmao I am the driver for our team and I only have like 3-4 hours of driving practice because the teachers at our school feel like they have to drown us In Work and whenever I do get to work on The robot Im Either helping th e programmer so we have all of our autons ready for the comps or Im Reworking a part of the robot because it was not finished and we have another comp this Saturday and were going to be writing and testing all of our autos on Friday night and imma be driving and fixing anything that breaks 2night so In Short don’t you hate it whe. Your always scrambling to finish you bot and autos the night before a comp.
Being unable to drive because of work is understandable, but we stay after school for about 2 hours, 4 days a week, and we still just haven’t driven.
dont you hate it when you try to honestly help someone out but they someone else doesnt like what you said so they use this thread to make a passive aggressive insult at you?
You could definitely flag their post if that’s what happened. That’s not the spirit of the forum and I’m sure the mods would delete the post if they deemed it that way.
Probably a better option is You could pm that user and resolve it directly with them and talk about the issue so that you can both understand each other’s perspectives. It could also help you figure out what happened so that you both know what the issue was and what the both of you can do next time to make sure something like that doesn’t happen again. Talking to the person is always the best thing to do because usually it all started because of a small misunderstanding or miscommunication, and talking to them can make both of you feel better about the situation.
This forum has definitely had an issue with passive aggressive replies and stuff lately but I’m sure that most of those people didn’t even mean for it to come across that way so if that happens just pm them and hopefully you’ll be able to clear up the situation.
Don’t you hate it when that one team member drives the robot off the table twice.
Welcome to the forum, and yes, but half the time, I am that stupid teammate checking something on the drivetrain… on the table

dont you hate it when you bet 5 bucks on a team in finals to win and they lose by 1 point?
