Backround story
I’m in VEX IQ and we had an incredible shooter robot and this other kid had a tiny robot with arms that broke off sometimes. We later learned he had copied all but the arms from VEX instructions. The other kid kept bragging about how you could drop his off a table and it wouldn’t break. Most irritating of all, out of his five matches, he was paired with us, ranked #1, our sister team, ranked #3, and another team from our area, ranked #2.
Don’t you hate it when push bots get carried by the top three teams at the tournament?
That really is annoying, especially if they only get like 24 points driver skills.
This kid got 30 points in skills and didn’t have an autonomous even though he had a crazy simple (and easy to program) robot.
ikr, its extra annoying when the team with the base instruction drivetrain puts two 2x20 beams on the front as a push bot, then they win the excellence award.
What are your guys guesses on how many pushbots there will be at your state or regional comp?

I know you are IQ but do you not have a hope of 0. I expect 0 push bots at the start of the comp by the end

our first comp, we carried a pushbot to victory and this entire 9 months, they havent changed from their little x-drive amazon box
I am in Texas Region 2 MS. So maybe 20.
