when you want to go to the practice field to practice driving after your 5 matches and its finally open without a wait, but the freshman who wants to write an entirely new auton at the competition takes over to test it out and you end up not getting to practice.

Don´t you hate it when you are helping the coder work on his PC and we download windows onto the USB with all of our code on it and multiple pictures of shrek, rick rolls, random cars, and more. And windows formats the whole drive deleting all the sacred pictures. This happened the morning of the competition and our code was having a problem. This would have been fine if we had a computer with vex coding on it. But there was no internet so we basically where being carried while we were a push bot. Eventually we found out the cables where in the wrong port, our lift was still unusable because of the way our motors where installed. We were in the quarter finals when our teams robot´s drive train leaves the chat and our battery falls out.
I’ve had that happen, but instead of code it was a years worth of CAD files and assorted backups
Dont you hate it when you have all your code backed up through discord group chats (i know its a terrible format) and then the one time discord has a 2 hour outage is the time you have to access your code to finish auton before a tournament.
I personally have carried two to the finals, won once.
Ok this just happened at our state tournament (to our team, 1588M)
Don’t you hate it when you carry all your qualification matches, go undefeated in qualifications (5W - 0L),
Pair up with the number 3 spot team, then get beat in your first final match by your freshmen team and throw your world’s qualification spot. I was kinda pissed at the time but I still had fun.

How IQ tournaments work
In IQ, you play a bunch of matches with randomly chosen teams and are ranked based on your average score.
Don’t you hate it when you realize after State that you would have been ranked #1 if your teammates had caught the ref forgetting to score a cleared corral?
The story
At the end of the tournament, we averaged 118.00 and the RogueBots averaged 118.5. Since the average was over 6 matches, they beat us by 3 points in one match, i. e., if we had scored 3 more points in one of our matches, we two teams would have tied. A cleared corral is worth 5 points, so when my teammates agreed to a score in which the ref forgot to add a cleared corral, they dropped our average by 5 points in one match. We would have been 1st ranked team, if it weren’t for that. Here’s the video. High goals: 6 points. Low goals: 2 points. Corrals: 5 points. Hangs: 6 points.
Now that State is over, I have the results. Out of 24 teams, 9 push bots, 2 claw bots (VEX instruction builds), 1 Herobot (this season’s), 3 flywheels, and 9 double catapults. You didn’t give the option for 16 push bots, which is what I would have guessed (based on skills scores).
This is IQ, so we have to shoot 3 in squishy balls into bucket 20 1/2" tall. Double catapults are the clear winner.

Also during the same competition our controller completely disconnected for 4 games causing us to go from 5th to 10th (out of 14) and we had to choose the team that couldn’t move which we didn´t know at the time. We only choose them because the rest of the robots where push bots. So I quickly diagnosed the problem and reassembled their drive train in 2 minutes before the first tournament round. Since the entire half of the drivetrain took 2 minutes to put there obviously some flaws, one included the wheel pulling the side wall in and immobilizing it. The problem was a bad motor.
