End of our season. Now what?

My parents will crash out if they even hear the word “robotics”. All I did was send a message to my coach for 30 EXTRA MINUTES because we had robotics 2 times a week normally, and only for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Also, I’m the notebooker for my team, so I need to put extra time at home.

There was a minute-ish part where the automated firewall blocked Google classroom, what all of our work is on. Shows how smart these “smart” blockers are.

I just found out that I have access to Fusion360 in my browser(because I have a student Autodesk account), so I will be able to 3D model(once I figure out how to use it) until May. Is there anything else I should do while waiting for robotics to start again in early August.

Help other teams did go to worlds. I remember our builder couldn’t be bothered to build the rolling part of our backroller thing last year his brother built it because his team didn’t go to worlds.

Here is something I could recommend doing over the summer

1. Start getting familiar with the pieces if you are familiar with the pieces you can easily know what something is.
2. If you are having trouble in teamwork work on that it can be time consuming, but the results will be great.
3. Try codeing on other website like code.org or Microbit on the wesbsite. Out of this Microbit can have tutorials and, but code.org is way more fun because you code minigames, so either would be could.
4. You could also practice writing so you can get a notebook award which can guarantee getting into state I think if your in finals.
5. You could also just play in the summer if u want to

Vex worlds qualifier here! I would recommend researching about next year’s game, or practice more programming techniques. I’m already researching about the game for next year, since I could brainstorm bot ideas over the summer, and start building during August.

All of my team(apart from one sixth grader) already started researching. For programming, I started learning C++ and PID.

It would be helpful if anyone could give me useful materials about how to code PID in C++(in IQ) because I have been searching the forum, and everything is about V5. Also FYI, Youtube is blocked for me.

if youtube is blocked first use bing videos or proxies
