Learning coding and CAD

I have seen many topics on this, but I haven’t seen a clear answer. I want to either learn C++ or Python over the summer and become my teams coder, but I don’t know where to start. I know block coding, so i’m not completely new, but I am wondering if I should learn Python or C++, where to learn it, and what platform I should code on (Vexcode or Visual Studio). I also want to learn CAD and don’t know what platform to use or where to learn CAD. If anyone can help, thank you so much.

Are there any tutorials for programming in VS Code python?

I would suggest skipping python and go to C++. Go to learncpp.com and go thru the first 4-8 chapters. Take notes and just follow using the Visual Studio, in which pretty much all that is covered through the first 4-8 chapters are going to show up while coding your V5 robot, explicitly. Then use the remaining chapters as reference if you don’t know certain things that pop up over time.
