Micro SD card with the V5 Brain

If I have a PNG image called “myphoto.png” on a micro SD card and want to display that photo on the brain, what code would I write to do so? I’ve looked around and can’t find an answer. I’m using VEXcode.

I tried that, and the code is here:

It did not fix anything. It is spelled correctly, and the Brain recognizes the SD card. What am I doing wrong?

I have a 16 GB micro SD card, just bought it today.

Make sure the SD card is formatted correctly, to fat32.
Something to test the operation of the SD card is to try running doom :laughing:

I did that. It still doesn’t work.

How big is the image ? It needs to be 480x240 or smaller. Perhaps post it here (or send it to me) and I will check it.

That might be the problem. I just tried DOOM and it works.

I already resized it myself, I will see if that one works first before downloading a new one.

Mine works. Would you happen to know the background color of the brain screen?

Does the brain support transparency?

usually black, but you can clear to any color you want using clearScreen

nope.

    Brain.Screen.clearScreen( vex::color::black );

or

    Brain.Screen.clearScreen( vex::color::red );

or

    Brain.Screen.clearScreen("#FF0000");

or

   Brain.Screen.clearScreen( vex::color( 0, 0, 0 ) );

and other choices.
