The VRC game is out 2025-26 VEX V5 Robotics Competition Game: Push Back
If you were going to do Pushback as the VIQ game, what changes would you make. Clearly the object size would be smaller, but how would you change the goal locations? Sizes? Would you keep the center goal?
For one thing, many vex iq games haven’t had robots that are tall enough to score on those 15 octoball capacity goals, so I’d maybe lower those. The classic rubber band roller for VIQ would work effectively on the octoball, so we’d probably keep those the same. The center goals seem to be in a reasonable place, however, I might lower the top one as well. As for the end of match “parking”, the section that the robot has to fit in is marked by moderately tall bumps. The normal 200mm wheel may not fit over this, as the diameter is too small. I would lower this bump, or completely replace it with tape, for VIQ needs.
Full Volume had a “supply zone” that even the massive meta bots could get over it. I think they could handle that lol.
