2025-26 VEX V5 Robotics Competition Game: Push Back

Introducing the 2025 - 2026 VEX V5 Robotics Competition Game, Push Back!

Just like previous years, we are not releasing any documentation until the Closing Ceremonies of the Middle School / VEX U Competition on Sunday.

I can at least release the links where all documentation will eventually live. In the meantime, each of these links will point to a countdown page, but will be redirected to their respective documents when the time comes.

Best of luck this season!

How does the hero bot have 2.75 wheels? I thought the hero bot use parts from the starter kit.

Descore game will go CRAZY this season

Quite well. The fact that there is no possession limit scares me a little.

Love the field design and the match loading system.

How easy it will be to de-score this season will surely make It a very defensive game, and will create some interesting matches.

Can’t wait for the meta bot to be revealed, but until then, best of luck to all competing this year and kudos to the game developers for bringing something entirely new to the table :+1:

Yeah…will games just be hogging blocks for the first 30 seconds and just spewing them all out at the last few seconds?

I’m waiting for expantion rules because I think that might effect the game.

They are 4 in wheels because of the gear ration I saw.

Maybe there’s a time limit for possession? I can’t really think of anything else for them to do.

Also, I hope that this game isn’t just blocking the other end of the tubes once you’ve reached them until the last 15 seconds or so

Likely. I feel this season will consist of large amounts of descoring, defence, and octoball hoarding.

But we must talk about the endgame. One bot in the zone for 8 points is reasonable, but 2 bots? The 30 points is a good amount I feel, but the balance and coordination between teams must be insane to pull it off. Can’t wait to see what mechs are developed to achieve this bonus. Thoughts?

The real question is, what do we call these scoring objects?

im not sure but it seems like its going to be a pretty simple season this time since there aren’t as much things to do like in high stakes

I’m curious about how much of your robot has to be in the parking zone for it to count, like a certain portion??

Nice.
Possible to share?

looking at the video, looks like as long as one of the wheels is touching the tile inside?
