Apriltag code runs using monochrome images. There’s always a non-zero chance that a robot could cause the algorithm to find a tag where none was present, but the apriltag error correction should prevent that.
That’s what I was thinking. I don’t think that my point got across well (I am not good at explaining things D:), but what I was trying to say is that there are theories about it being due to AprilTags, but that the more likely theory was that people were using illegal third-party parts and hiding that fact with spray paint.
