Pitching In Meta

It’s legal for them to work sooner than 18? Just slightly more restrictions but its worth being flexible around that kind of talent?

Lol. Unfortunately the last thing you want are coaches that give out solutions for the kids. What I find interesting is 10 ball capacity robots were not very common at the beginning of the season but while the teams try to innovate large capacity robots, solutions start looking very similar because of the size constraints of the challenge.

Teamwork: High Hang 8-10 ball double catapult
Skills: High Hang 4 ball double catapult

This dude is in china.

Here is one of the top US teams high capacity bot.

Yeah, a lot of teams have a 8+ ball reservoir, but we are sticking with a 4 ball reservoir.

I agree, not only are we able to get 14+ seconds of stop time with our four ball, but this close to worlds we aint rebuilding. These teams with the 8 + ball hopper wont be able to get the amount of driving time that us four ball teams are able to get in. What division are you in?

Oof, we are in art. Luck to ua then

That is great! Is that 14+ seconds in skills or teamwork?

Skills, we have 30 seconds in teamwork with another four ball team

Post a video on YouTube and you’ll have the World Record. (And everyone will be impressed.) Currently the World Record is from @ExMachina with a stop time of 13 seconds.

All these stop times are pretty impressive. But correct me if I am wrong since this is my first year mentoring vexiq, isn’t stop time only relevant in teamwork challenge if there is a need for a tiebreaker? I thought stop time has no relevancy in skills.

Thanks.

Stop time is the tie breaker in skills as well

But they don’t record it, or only at Worlds? We had a (really low) program with a stop time of probably 30 seconds, and on RobotEvents.com it showed 0 second stop time.

I guess I’m wrong. I think I might have been mixing it up. The game manual has no mention of stop time so I assume it will not actually be put into the system. If there was a tie, there would be deciding runs.
EDIT: They may change this at the driver meeting when they announce worlds stuff because quite a few teams are maxing out driver

We will try our best, its rather hard to get it that high all the time, we are averaging about 7 ish seconds.

Usually it depends on the tournament you are at. If you want a stop time recorded, I would let the skills ref know this and be prepared to show the relevant rules explaining the legality of this. Not every tournament does this as some EPS don’t anticipate a high number of stop recorded (especially if there is a large number of newer teams in attendance).

I am curious as to why you haven’t been competing in skills at various events. RobotEvents has your team at 642 in the world with a 73 driver and no auto. And now you are maxing the field with a 14 second stop time?

Honestly, we are making 152’s with 10 seconds stop times. Also our skills score has not been updated in a long time. Making stop times like this is really easy, just take months of hard work and practice. Also adding modifications to your robot will increase your chances in making 152 in seconds. Also there are a lot of tricks that many teams like exmechina and our team do. Just for classification it’s not ball cheats it’s how we save time on shooting balls. That what I would say if you want to get 152’s in seconds, but it won’t matter in skills so if you are getting these stop times take your time
