Some cons for the Ferris wheel robot is that it will have too much weight, another thing is that the base may not move due to how much weight is put on the robot, also if it can move it will be slow due to the weight agein. So I think the main con is that there could be too much weight .

I am planning to seriously gear up my drive train in order for it to support and move at a reasonable speed. With a couple cross beams for supports.

This is my first year in robotics, and Iām going to make an arm the attaches to the back of the robot (for better balance) and extends to the front of the robot. Can you tell me if this is an okay idea? Thanks.
