Personally, I would like if the game was released early. But with all the issues surrounding COVID-19 I can see why that won’t be possible. I don’t think it should release after “worlds”. As that would mean quite a huge break for teams and programs.

I personally agree with this statement. having the game release until after worlds is over leaves most teams with a huge gap that could’ve at least been used to brainstorm possible mechanisms, coding structures, strategy, etc. They shouldn’t release the game right away so that VEX can sort their stuff out first but they shouldn’t do an after worlds release

I completely agree. It shouldn’t be right now, but it also shouldn’t be at its normal time. Somewhere in the middle would be the best.

Lauren from the RECF posted this in the Worlds cancellation thread, it includes the FAQ. To summarize, there isn’t an official decision yet.

Nothing prevents you from doing pure R&D now. Figure out how to do odometry, play with the vision sensor, build a lift, try an H-drive.
