I would hope that Vex would announce the new game when worlds is cancelled, so people still have something to do.

I’d say still release the games when intended. Let mentors and adults and coaches have some form of a break.

The supply chain might also need sometime to recover. Many of not most items and parts come from China, and sites such or robosource are already running low on somethings
Illinois state competition has been postponed until further notice. We are currently 16th in skills in Illinois and there are 15 worlds spots, so if it is cancelled, we won’t qualify.
This, a thousand times this. All of the mentors, volunteers, parents, etc. need a break. Lets stick to the timeline and do the game reveal when it’s planned.

Yep. Once we hear the inevitable, I’m probably going to take a week, and then we start our planning for next season.
I’m thinking we’ll wait for the team to finish spring sports then may start meeting early for next season - probably May.

Team 2360Z from Illinois here. @JustALonelyAstronaut You’re in a similar situation to us but not quite - in Illinois both the RECF and the institution our championship was hosted at decided to indefinetly postpone our event. I heard (but can’t confirm) that one region in California had their championship attendance limited to only participants/coaches so if your RECF rep has not clearly stated that your championship is not taking place then there still may be a chance.
I saw someone else say this, so I’ll repeat it here - best thing to do is hope for the best and wash your hands a little more.
are the part competition legal?
Some maybe, but most are vex iq. The shafts would be, but I think that’s it. And the rubber shaft collars, if there are any.
I am from Oregon also and our coach said they cancelled all but platinum and middle school because of the 250 limit thing. She also said West Salem (Sandy probably too she said but doesn’t know for sure ) can’t go nor host the competition. I am not entirely sure if it is for sure cancelled now but I would like to know as well.

yeah, I was wondering about that. My robotics program usually holds a game reveal party every year, and I have no clue what’s going on with that.

We’ve had to postpone our end of the season party as well.
