Exactly. This means that teams will have to fight for them. I feel like this will be a very defensive game with trying to move all of the goals around
I wander how teams can get MOGOs out of possession of other teams. If you have a MOGO lift like from ITZ, someone is going to have to rip the MOGO out of your robot to get it back on the field
if you build it right, thereâs zero chance youâll rip it out of another team, thatâs why i think in auton, teams will zip their robots to the neutral zone and snatch a goal
that was my original thought as well
fast robots will have the advantage in this aspect, and since goal hoarding has no time limit, you can just hold the goal the entire game.
i think people will build them so they hold them in the back, so that they can still score and descore from the front. A chain bar lift would be extremely efficient in this case, where you could score from the front for any goals, but also score behind you to your hoarded goal
ya, as long as the ringles stay in the chain. the other problem is that only so many ringlies can fit on the tower, so you almost need something that can swivel the whole chain mechanism so that you can the ringles on both branches of the tower.
I like the idea that @EthanZhang showed, you would just need a mechanism to feed the ringles onto the branches

hmmmmâŚ

looks like a chain cascade lift to me
WHAT HAVE I DONE!
In all serious though I think early season meta is going to be something like starstruck bots. Really strong front lifts for 1 maybe even 2 mogos. I am really curious to see what people come up with. This seems like a holy grail game. I wonder if its possible to tip the scales and beat out turning point.
correct me if im wrong, but im pretty sure you can only hold 1 mobile goal at a time
Yea, you can only hold one goal at a time
There is no rule preventing a robot from holding 2 mogos at once. The hoarding rule only applies to teams trying to defend goals in a corner of the field.
I plan on using a dr4b for the rings(probably will have an intake that stores the rings) with a similar lift for mobile goals in itz.
hoard tall goal while being able to slap rings on it
And that is why vex has a bunch of rules about grappling to the field, and making you robot easily release game objects.
I agree until you mentioned claw. Most of the time when I hear a claw I imagine a slow and clunky system that will be far from competitive. Honestly I think something like a meshed rubber band intake (or intake with a lot of flaps like 929U turning point) with an internal focus to a micro-sized bucket supported by a dr4b would likely be the simplest and one of the most effective meta choice.
My ideal robot idea:
4m drive 200 RPM 3:2 to 3â wheels
1m wide intake 600 RPM (if the objects are slippery enough)
1m dr4b (100 RPM)
1m bucket attached to the end of the DR4B that can tip forward
1m mogo intake
I just broke the game tonight. I canât leek it to u, but like, I found something, that only intellectuals would think of. Guaranteed match wins, Tipping Point has some bad game design, lul.
Sack Attack bots with mogo lifts
