Two personal hopes I have for the fantasy tournament’s predictions:
-
opinion: I don’t think the stats should be based on the team’s events from early in the season. I know lots of teams that didn’t start off so great, but are amazing teams now, that won’t have the chance to shine at this event. I also know lots of teams that started off strong this season, but, though they are still decent teams, they are definitely not the best in the world, and so these teams will get lots of unnecessary credit. Maybe if the predictions would be solely from each team’s last event they attended.

I hope skills scores intervene somewhere in the algorithm. These scores really show how strong a team is by themselves. There is undeniably a good amount of luck involved in matches, so match stats are not even close to 100% accurate. Skills shows the true “skill” of the team. However, some teams didn’t focus much on skills this season, yet still were very competitive in matches. So, skills should play a role in the algorithm, but not mean everything. (Sort of like the auton bonus in matches, if anyone liked my analogy
).
I feel like this would make the tournament a lot more accurate.
End the end though, it is just a game.![]()
