Just grab the standalone V5 firmware updater from here, it will probably detect invalid assets and allow update. If that doesn’t work, select the force update option after following the instructions below for showing the advanced options. [update_step_1.png] [update_step_2.png]

We have had the same issue with a few of our cortexes. It has happened right after updating the brain in VEX Coding studio. Please advise.

It’s really not necessary anymore, if the V5 update failed, then just power cycle and let VEXcode try again.

The previous post explained that all you need to do is let VEXcode try the update again. If that doesn’t work, the instructions for using the V5 firmware utility are earlier in this thread.
