They are both memes about vex there is no difference don’t clutter up the forum with useless threads.
But if you want vex memes, be sure to check out the dankest vex memes thread, with over 5000 posts! More than enough to satisfy a meme craving.
This is likeley an attempt to make a “viral thread” where users try to make threads to get lots of attention and become “forum famous.” Try something original, it works better!
What if I had two different topics on programming about how to toggle a motor. There is a wide blanket of programming topics, as well as chit-chat/rumor mill. This particular part of chit-chat/rumor mill is already done and “chosen” as the thread for that one topic.
Then why?
The vex forums is supposed to be a place to help teams and occasionally be a place for conversation. If posts are made for no reason whatsoever, that only unnecessarily makes it harder for other teams to find and receive help, and harder for other teams to find ideas.
Do you remember the huge amount of spin up prediction threads after the spin up name reveal? That was incredibly annoying. Repeat threads are not usually appreceated.
Consider part of the issue more “I wanted my own”.
Threads are either productive or for laughs but they don’t exist just so one user can feel special about having their own thread.
Yes over time there are multiple threads for programs, the same mechanisms, heck even reveals. But if it is acknowledged that this is the same as a thread that already exists, and you just want a spotlight in it, it definitely does not need to exist.
this topic is a near perfect embodiment of the vex forums.

It’s really annoying to have 5 or 6 new chit-chat threads that are almost identical to another one already made. The reason you should have not made this thread is because there are already two or so threads that have your exact topic and there is no reason to create another, it is just considered “spam” in a way. I know they are fun, but they distract people from other important threads where people are actively trying to get help. Not only that but it keeps the forum more organized and tidy like it should be, instead of being 60 posts on the same topic. (Think about if everyone wanted to “make there own thread” even though it relates to another thread already made, the forum would be a huge mess and people trying to get help would struggle more and more)
