VEX Worlds Viewing Sheet

Last year while watching VEX Worlds, I found a sheet made by the user @B-Kinney to be very useful. I don’t know if @B-Kinney is still active here, but if someone knows how to make a version of this spreadsheet for this year please do. I linked the topic from last year below so that anyone can view who wants to:

I was looking fo it too, it was extremely useful last year!

Thanks! I’ve been working on one for this year, but didn’t add the match schedules until just now, so I hadn’t posted it yet.

Here’s the link for the one for this year:

(Even though there are still some practice matches left, I started with the qualification matches so I could make sure it continues to work correctly.)

The link seems to say “This Sheet is private”, but it works when I click on it (even from a different account), so it seems to be viewable by anyone who clicks on the link.

Thanks for your appreciative posts!

I made one for this year and added the match schedule early this afternoon, though the message where I sent it on the forum hasn’t gone through yet (maybe because it has a link).

I would definitely be open to having someone else create their own version, too, since I haven’t had as much time available to spend on it this year as I did in previous years. (It would also be a good learning opportunity!)

Thanks! This is very helpful for worlds, my team was super stressed about scouting and matches.

Unfortunately I might not be able to make the versions for other divisions until later, due to my busy schedule this week.

If someone else wants to make their own version, the main process would be:

  1. Download the match list for each division as a CSV file.

  2. Copy that match list into the correct worksheet. (I usually finish the “sorted by division” worksheet first, and then take the columns I modified, copy them to the same part of the “sorted by match” worksheet, and sort that one by match.)

  3. Copy the division name to each row for that division.

  4. For the match numbers, type in the first few numbers and then use the Fill Handle in the lower right corner of the selection to fill the rest down to the end of that division.

  5. If you reach the end, you can add more rows, copy and paste your additional rows of data, and then copy the cells past the ones you modified into the new rows. (Make sure no rows are missing at the end right before you add the new rows.)

If you want any more clarification, let me know and I’d be happy to answer as soon as I have time. For questions related to a general Google Sheets or Excel feature rather than something specific to how this particular spreadsheet works, you can also look for help with those features online.
